Women's Conference

Loved the Women’s Conference this evening! I particularly enjoyed Sister Oscarson’s talk on being defenders of the proclamation. She said; "[T]here is a war going on in this world in which our most cherished and basic doctrines are under attack...specifically of the doctrine of the family. The sanctity of the home and the essential purposes of the family are being questioned, criticized and assaulted on every front.” She urged us as women of the church to be steadfast defenders of the truth. To defend marriage between a man and a woman, elevate divine roles of mothers and fathers and to stand and defend the sanctity of the home. “Let us defend the home as a place which is second only to the temple in holiness.” We may not directly have to defend our beliefs in front of an angry mob, but we can continually be examples and defend our beliefs every day. ‪
