The other day, was reading in Alma 44:3-4 and I love when Moroni says boldly to Zerahemnah and the Lamanites; “You cannot destroy this our faith!” (exclamation point added for emphasis :) ) That really stuck out to me. Moroni is such a great example of courageous, strong and unshakable faith. We live in a crazy world now that has, as Joseph Smith put it, a “war of words and tumult of opinions”(JSH 1:10). But no matter which way the world goes, God has made it clear what His commandments are and His Gospel will stand strong and will go forth no matter what. When I was in young woman’s, every week before mutual, the young men would stand and recite this quote; “The Standard of Truth has been erected; no unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent, visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done.” (Joseph Smith Jr., History of the Church, 4:540). God knows what He's doing and He reveals His word to our living prophets and apostles today. They lead and guide the Church through direct revelation from Him and they will not lead us astray.
It's so important to continually and daily work on having a strong foundation of faith, so no matter what people of the world say or do, we can say like Moroni, “You cannot destroy this our faith.”
